The Tigers travelled to Glasgow and came away with a hard fought 6-0 win in Overtime.
A.I. would win the opening coin toss.
With 2 minutes to go in the half, Glasgow would have an 87 yard touchdown called back due to a block in the back penalty.
Other than that scoring opportunity, it would tough going for both clubs in the first half as we would stay scoreless at the break.
In the third quarter, Glasgow would go on a 7 minute drive, but get stalled at A.I.duPont’s 19 and turn the ball over on downs.
In the fourth quarter, A.I. duPont had a 5 minute drive of their own. However, they would miss a 24 yard Field Goal with 3:05 to go.
On the final play of regulation, Glasgow seemingly had won the game with a 42 yard touchdown pass from Reggie Grinnell. However, the play would be called back due to an Illegal Shift penalty.
We would go to Overtime with zero’s on the scoreboard for both clubs.
On Glasgow’s 3rd play of their overtime possession, it would be picked off by A.I.
On A.I.’s possession, Chad Jones would find LeRoy Lynch with a 9 yard touchdown pass, give the Tigers a 6-0 win.
The Tigers will next face Howard on October 20th at 7pm.
Glasgow will next face Mt. Pleasant on October 21st at 2pm.
