Conrad’s Rose Carr had to sacrifice going to her high school graduation to prepare for the World Rowing Junior Championships, and it paid off with a bronze medal.

Carr, who will grace the boats at Ohio State in the fall, helped power the Women’s Four to a 3rd place finish after passing a boat near the midway point to reach a podium position.

The bronze medal team consisted of Kaitlyn Kynast, Riley Lynch, Kelsey McGinley, and Coach Liz Trond.

This was Rose’s second straight appearance in the World Rowing Junior Championships, after finishing 9th in the quadruple sculls in the 2016 Worlds.

Earlier in the year Rose won the double sculls at the 2017 Youth National Championships, and twice has won international events at the Canammex Regatta.
