Archmere’s Brian Neill scored 6 goals, while Mitchell Moyer added 5 as Archmere boys lacrosse wrapped up a perfect run in the Diamond State Athletic Conference with a 19-4 won at M.O.T. Charter Wednesday afternoon.
Archmere set the tone quickly racing out to a 10-1 lead with 3:49 to go in the first half, although M.O.T. picked up two goals late in the half to cut the game to 7.
That run seemed to spark the Auks, who scored all seven of the goals in the third quarter, by 7 different players, as they put the squeeze on any upset bid.
Moyer added 4 assists to his 5 goals for Archmere, while Neill picked up two helpers. Cole Bauer also had a hat trick for the Auks (9-3), who host Bishop Eustace (New Jersey) on Saturday, before wrapping up at Tatnall and Tower Hill next week.
Noah Tuohey scored twice and Trent Selby made 11 saves for M.O.T. Charter (10-4), who finish up at William Penn on Tuesday before hoping they’ve done enough to make the DIAA Tournament.
