Glasgow defeated Delcastle 46-41 after trailing the majority of the contest.
Delcastle would take the early lead, scoring the first 6 points. Glasgow would get on the board midway through the quarter to make the score 6-2.
Darren Spurlock would hit two free throws for Delcastle at the end of the quarter as the Cougars would lead by 6.
In the second quarter, Glasgow would begin to chip away at the lead. With 3:54 left in the half, Jaimhy Evans would hit a bucket as well as the free throw after getting fouled on the play. Glasgow would trail by 1.
Just over a minute later, Jaimhy Evans would drain a three, putting the Dragons up 2.
Delcastle would hit a jumper to tie the game at 18 before the teams traded three’s to make the score at the break 21-21.
Early in the third quarter, Delcastle would again score the first 6 points of the half. They would lead by 9 at 33-24 before Glasgow made a bit of a run to close the gap to 4.
However, Justin Smith would drain a three at the buzzer to put the Cougars up 7 at the end of the third quarter.
Early in the fourth quarter, Darren Spurlock would feed Justin Smith nicely for a dunk putting Delcastle up 10 with 7 minutes to go.
Glasgow then scored the next 11 including a huge three by Tiyon Taylor with just under four minutes left, giving the Dragons a 40-39 lead.
Mark Bradshaw would lay in a bucket with 45 seconds left, giving Glasgow a 3 point lead. These were the first points since the Tiyon Taylor triple.
Glasgow would then hold on for the five point win.
Mark Bradshaw led the Glasgow scorers with 14. Delcastle’s Darren Spurlock had 12.
