Welcome in to’s top plays of the spring season of 2018.

What a great season it was with history made and some top caliber plays boot.

Caesar Rodney’s likely accidental ode to Longest on the ‘Air-Gait’ gets honorable mention as we make our way to the list.

10 – Hodgson’s Jared Owens launches this one back back back back over the big guy in right center for the a grand slam.

9 – Padua’s Rachel Delate will find Sarah Kunkle for the spin doctor treatment up in Claymont versus Archmere.

8 – Delmar softball with a great run this season including their visit to Appo where they pull this 4-6-3 double play. More from this game later on.

7 – Hillers soccer and it’ll be Isabelle Pilson getting the feed. A split second to think and then she’s off to the races. Izzy drives left, cuts the corner, picks a spot right and drives that one all the way home.

6 – Dover with a big performance this season and Joseph Gray gets the jump on Salesianum. The pitch, ball rolls back and The Seantors go on to put the Sals away in the DIAA tournament.

5 – Caravel’s Jamison Young will get the feed from X and puts on a clinic at the crease before that ball rolls in.

4 – Appo Softball thought they weren’t getting enough credit early in the season and went on to prove it advancing to a school first tournament title game. This beautiful double play a part of that run and shot impecably by someone who’d never shot a softball game before.

3 – CR’s Jacob Stant helped the Riders make a tournament final appearance including this pair of saves that is just short of unexplainable.

Runner up and DMA’s Alyssa Ruggeri will put it all on the line against the Bucs en route to the Seahawk’s third school title and first outside of Volleyball.

Top Play of the Spring belongs to the Auks of Archmere as Sean Kelly plays some textbook long pole midi running through a ground ball and Nolan Collins on the receiving end just makes it look not one good, but too.

Hope you enjoyed our top plays. We’ve certainly enjoyed covering this season. Stay tuned next week for some of these plays to compete in’s High School Plays of the Year!
