Salesianum never trailed as they defeated Caesar Rodney 14-9 to win the 2018 Championship.

Salesianum would score 1st 39 seconds into the game as Cooper Urban scored his first of four on the night.

Caesar Rodney would tie the game three minutes later as Jared Wagenhofer scored his first of three on the night.

The teams would alternate the next two goals before Salesianum scored two back to back, making the score 4-2 with 3:12 left in the first quarter.

The score would be 5-3 Salesianum after one.

The score would climb to 6-3 as Patrick Drake found the back of the net 57 seconds into the second quarter. But, Caesar Rodney would score the next two making the score 6-5.

Again, Salesianum would not allow Caesar Rodney to tie the game. Brett Hobbs made the score 7-5 with 5:00 left in the half.

The score would be 8-6 at the half.

In the third quarter, only three goals would be scored including two by Caesar Rodney making it 9-8 after three quarters.

However, Salesianum would score the first five goals of the fourth quarter and win this years State Championship going away.
