Padua volleyball proved to be giant slayers yet again sweeping previously perfect Tower Hill 25-19, 25-13 and 25-21.
The Hillers won their first eight contests a combined 24 sets to none earning them the slight edge over Padua in this weeks rankings.
The Pandas lead by setter Emma Lucey’s 39 assists on the night put the pedal to the ground early and never looked back.
The usually unstoppable Emily Jarome ran into a few road blocks and had to put some finess on a number of her 24 kills.
Padua Libero Katelyn McGonigal lead the team yet another night with 23 digs.
Pandas head coach Lauren DiSabatino noted the team effort to take out yet another top ranked team; this time with authority.
“Emily Jarome, I don’t know her statistics right now. I know going into the second but she was swinging a thousand. Emma Lucey, our setter, she dishes everything out for the girls, I think does a great job. Katie McGonigal, the libero; sometimes they like on some heroes back there but she’s keeping our balls alive.” said DiSabatino, “Michelle Kozicki with her blocks, I’m proud of every single one of them even if I did name all of them.”
Padua stays undefeated and takes the next trip to the Academy of Notre Dame in Pennsylvania.
Tower Hill takes a very impressive record into their next match as they host Conrad.
