The Vikings of St. Elizabeth advanced to their first ever final defeating Caravel 57-41
The game would start out tight as neither team lead by more than 2 until St. Elizabeth took an 11-8 lead with just under 3 minutes left in the first quarter.
Jordan Brown would lay one in at the end of the quarter, giving the Vikings a 5 point lead at 15-10.
To start the second quarter, Nasir Brown would score for St. Elizabeth putting them up 7.
Caravel would then score the next 5, closing the gap to 2 at 17-15 as St. Elizabeth called timeout with 4:48 left in the half.
After the timeout, St. Elizabeth would go on a run.
Jordan Brown would hit a three.
Justin Money would then slam one home and Nate Thomas would hit a couple baskets including a three as the lead climbed to 12.
Caravel would call timeout with just under a minute left in the half.
Jordan Brown would hit a free throw for St. Elizabeth at the end of the quarter as the Vikings led by 13 at the break.
In the third, St. Elizabeth would push the lead to 15 before Caravel’s O’Koye Parker got hot as he hit three three-pointers in a row cutting the deficit to 6.
Brendan Senghphachanh would hit a basket next as Caravel climbed to within 4.
St. Elizabeth would then score the next two baskets and lead by 5 after three quarters.
Early in the fourth, Jaden Dickerson would lay one in for St. Elizabeth putting them up 7 at 39-32.
The Vikings would hit 14 of 16 free throws down the stretch sending them to the Championship.
St. Elizabeth had two players with double-doubles.
Nate Thomas ended with 15 points and 18 boards. Jordan Brown ended with 15 points and 10 boards.
Caravel was led by O’Koye Parker who had 13 points.
